DKSH Hosts Nanoparticle Measurement Workshop at “JAIMA Summer Science School 2026”

DKSH Japan participated in the “JAIMA Summer Science School 2026”, engaging students in a hands-on nanoparticle measurement workshop using advanced nanoparticle tracking analysis technology. The initiative highlighted the role of science and technology in addressing societal challenges and reflects DKSH’s commitment to empowering future scientists through STEM education.

Tokyo, Japan, August 3, 2026 – DKSH Market Expansion Japan K.K. participated in the “JAIMA Summer Science School 2026”, held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan). Experts from DKSH’s Business Line Scientific Solutions, which is part of the Business Unit Technology, guided junior and senior high school students through interactive nanoparticle measurement workshops, providing a firsthand look into the invisible world of nanoparticles and demonstrating how advanced analytical technologies contribute to scientific research and societal progress.

Experience Cutting-Edge Nanoparticle Analysis and Discover Its Impact on Society
DKSH hosted an interactive learning session, featuring a nanoparticle tracking analysis system, which is distributed by DKSH. This advanced instrument is used to measure the size and concentration of nanoparticles. Students learned about nanoparticle behavior, measurement principles, and the technology behind the instrument before gaining hands-on experience preparing samples and conducting measurements.  The program also highlighted how nanoparticle analysis supports innovation in areas such as pharmaceutical research, disease detection, agriculture, and water treatment, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the role of advanced analytical technologies in addressing societal challenges.

Creating opportunities for students to engage with real-world science not only deepens their understanding of technology but also builds awareness of its impact on everyday life. Through initiatives like the “JAIMA Summer Science School”, DKSH supports the development of future scientists and reinforces the essential role of analytical solutions in promoting public health. This commitment reflects DKSH’s broader mission to enrich people’s lives and uphold a core sustainability objective by creating a positive impact on the markets the company operates in.

Organized annually by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA), the Summer Science School offers students the opportunity to operate advanced analytical instruments. Designed to spark interest in science and technology, the program welcomed 18 participating companies, including DKSH, which provided students with a unique and engaging learning experience.
