As biomedical research becomes increasingly collaborative and data-driven, the ability to generate consistent, high-dimensional insights across institutions has become more critical than ever.
To support its growing collaboration with the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Hub, the NUS research team adopted the Cytek Aurora™ EVO spectral flow cytometer, supplied and supported by DKSH.
Challenge
The NUS research team previously relied on conventional flow cytometry systems to study immune cells. While effective for routine analysis, these systems presented challenges when researchers needed to combine and compare data generated across multiple research sites.
Differences instrument setup and performance could lead to variations in results, making it more difficult to align datasets generated by different research teams. This added complexity when researchers needed to combine data from Singapore, Cambridge, and other research partners for large-scale analysis.
The team also wanted to analyze more immune cell markers within a single experiment, requiring a more advanced and flexible technology.
Approach
We worked closely with the NUS research team to identify a solution that could support more advanced immune cell analysis.
Following this assessment, the team adopted the Cytek Aurora™ EVO spectral flow cytometer, which enables the analysis of a greater number of immune cell markers at once compared to traditional systems.
Throughout the evaluation, purchase, installation, and comprehensive user training process, we worked alongside the NUS research team to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. This helped researchers quickly adopt the technology, establish consistent workflows across multiple users, and generate reliable data with confidence from the beginning.
Results
With the Cytek Aurora™ EVO in place, the NUS research team is well-positioned to support future scientific discoveries and international collaborations.
